Stop Hunger Now – Packaging 30,000+ Meals
Jul 23, 2015
As a part of Centerline100, our commitment to give more than 100 days of service to local organizations, Centerline hosted a Stop Hunger Now meal-packaging event. The packaging equipment was set up in our studio, where Centerliners took their place at different stations.
More than 100 Centerliners spent a part of their workday packaging over 30,000 meals. Stop Hunger Now, based in Raleigh, is working with volunteers throughout the world to end world hunger. Learn more about their mission and vision, and find out how you can host your own meal-packaging event!
There were people filling bins with raw ingredients, scooping them into bags, weighing and sealing each bag, and then boxing them to be loaded onto the Stop Hunger Now truck. This assembly process gave us a hands-on, team-building experience that was all for one goal – to help end world hunger.
Our progress, photos and fun for this event and all Centerline100 events can be found by following #Centerline100 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. We will also be updating our blog regularly with our adventures – see the first recap of our work here!
