IBM & Sesame Street: Transforming Education
Apr 27, 2016
“Sunny day, sweepin the clouds away, on my way to where air is sweet…can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street?”
Thanks to their new partnership, IBM Watson can.
Today, “IBM & Sesame Street : Transforming Education” was announced, introducing a partnership between two iconic brands in order to use the power of media to reach, and teach, children.
“Sesame Street and IBM are working together to bring personalized learning to kids around the world,” said Harriet Green, GM Watson Internet of Things, Commerce and Education, IBM.
After years of agency partnership with IBM, Centerline Digital was ready for the challenge when they needed an agency to create something for this exciting partnership announcement.
Centerline worked closely with both the Sesame Street and IBM teams to understand what each would be bringing to the partnership, then we went straight to work on the most creative way to bring the idea behind the partnership to life.
After over 38 interviews with some of the smartest, most innovative people at both companies, Centerline created two videos, alongside other strategic content, that we are so excited to showcase today.
In the videos, there’s Big Bird next to Harriet Green, GM Watson Internet of Things. Satya Nitta, Program Director, Education & Cognitive Sciences Master Inventor at IBM speaks about building “deeply engaging learning experiences,” next to children from around the world interacting with Sesame Street characters. Engineers and Research Scientists are working with Elmo.
Our aim was to project the enthusiasm and hopefulness of this partnership. Who’s more enthusiastic than the Cookie Monster? What’s more hopeful than the sight of children around the world learning and engaging with Sesame Street characters?
We created two videos, a minute long highlight video to be used as a companion for the press release, and a longer, three and a half minute video giving more detail into the collaboration and reasoning behind the partnership.
